MYSTERLAND (THE BIG PARTY)

The festival was born 17 years ago in the Netherlands, making it the oldest dance festival in Europe. ID & T created to surprise with a unique space for lovers of music and entertainment. Over the years, it has also become a very complete analysis, with a program that includes music, dance, art and theater in combination with workshops, colorful buildings and many other surprises for attendees in each edition. It offers a varied cuisine ranging from organic food and fair trade products, to typical Dutch food.
Mysteryland motto is: "Yesterday is History, Today is a Gift, Tomorrow is Mystery" summarizes the spirit and approach that has been given from the beginning to the festival The first version was made in the Isle of Maurik, Lelystad,.. in 1994. In 1995 he had changed his location to Rotterdam, by the refusal of the city of Lelystad to support more than 15,000 people. Currently, about 50,000 people attend the Floriade Park, in the municipality of Haarlemmermeer, near Amsterdam.

All this success also comes to Chile, which was chosen due to the successful partnership established between the national producer Street Machine and Dutch ID & T (Sensation creators). Furthermore, according to its organizers, "Chile was chosen by the vibrant entertainment scene, nightlife, creative environment and, of course, by natural conditions and infrastructure that provides Picarquín"

WHAT IS WIKI?

Wiki is a piece of server software that allows users to freely create and edit Web page content using any Web browser. Wiki supports hyperlinks and has a simple text syntax for creating new pages and crosslinks between internal pages on the fly. Wiki is unusual among group communication mechanisms in that it allows the organization of contributions to be edited in addition to the content itself. Like many simple concepts, "open editing" has some profound and subtle effects on Wiki usage. Allowing everyday users to create and edit any page in a Web site is exciting in that it encourages democratic use of the Web and promotes content composition by nontechnical users.

GALÁPAGOS ISLANDS !

Situated in the Pacific Ocean some 1000 km from the South American continent, these 19 islands and the sourrounding marine reserve have been called a unique "living museum and showcase of evolution".

Located at the confluence of three ocean currents, the Galápagos are a "melting pot" of marine species. Ongoing seismic and volcanic activity reflects the processes that formed the islands. These processes, together with the extreme isolation of the islands, led to the development of unusual animal life: land iguana, giant tortoise, and many types of finch. These islands inspired Charles Darwin's theory of evolution by natural selection following his visit in 1835

SURFING!

Surfing is and always will be a sport of intensity and the shared experience of the power of the ocean. With time and technology, surfing has evolved with the decades and rapid industrial growth.
Today surfing continues to carry the lifestyle that it made for itself over 50 years ago. Boards are in constant metamorphosis ranging in size from 5 to 12 feet and shaping has become both an art and a career. A total of three fins have been placed on the back of the board for maximum control and pivoting. Materials like fiberglass and resin ensure the board's protection.

The world has become more accessible through all transportation means and, therefore, easier to search for that perfect wave.

Pro surfers are constantly pushing all limits to modernize the sport. Sufers like Kelly Slater, Taj Burrow and Laird Hamilton are a few of the many who push themselves to ride the biggest waves, jump the biggest airs and take the biggest risks.
Magazines, documentaries, accessories and advertisements all contribute to the mainstream popularity that surfing has today. But for most soul surfers and those who can appreciate the stoke, or natural high, of riding a wave and being part of the ocean, the passion remains.

WHAT IS AN ARACHNID? (SPIDERMAN, IS THAT YOU?)

Any member of the class Arachnida, primarily carnivorousarthropods having a well-developed head, a hard external skeleton, and four pairs of walking legs. Spiders andscorpions have a segmented body, but daddy longlegs, ticks, and mites do not. Arachnids range in size from tiny mites (0.003 in. [0.08 mm] long) to the 8-in. (21-cm) black scorpion of Africa. As arachnids grow, they molt several times.

Most are unable to digest food internally; instead, they inject their prey with digestive fluids and suck the liquefied remains. Arachnids are found worldwide in nearly every habitat. Most groups are free-living, but some mites and ticks are parasitic and can carry serious diseases of animals and humans. Venomous spiders and scorpions also may pose a danger to humans. However, most arachnids are harmless and prey on insect pests.
